Among results from a survey conducted by University College London, data shows that "Women with English as a second language were more likely to be unaware, unengaged and to be intending to be screened." (section 5.5). 

The findings are based on a survey of 3,100 women aged 24 to 64, published in the European Journal of Cancer, in which 800 said they were not up-to-date with cervical screening.

In the UK, women aged 24-49 are invited for a smear every three years, while women 50-64 are invited every five years. Around 3,200 women are diagnosed with cervical cancer each year in the UK and 900 women die from it.
